To make sure that I will be a good fit for you as a therapist, before committing to other services, I suggest that you schedule a free15-minute phone consultation. In order for you to achieve the outcomes you desire from counselling, it is important that you feel comfortable with your therapist and be able to develop a trusting relationship with them. If it turns out that a different therapist could better assist you, I would be happy to refer you to one of my colleagues.
I offer individual counselling to persons of any age who are struggling with the impacts of trauma. This means that I provide services to both trauma survivors as well as their support persons (even if they have not experienced the trauma first hand). Each session is tailored to suit the unique needs and goals of the individual as there is not a “one size fits all” approach when it comes to trauma counselling. Typically each session (except the first intake session) is 60-minutes in duration, however, shorter or longer sessions are available upon request. The first intake session is 90-minutes in duration to allow sufficient time to complete necessary paperwork.
Intake Session (90-120 minutes) -$200
Counselling Session (60 minutes) -$150
For students and individuals receiving income assistance, a sliding scale rate is available (please inquire for further details)
Accepted forms of payment include: credit card, debit, e-transfer, and cash (must be exact)
Following each session, clients are emailed a detailed receipt
Please contact your insurance provider in advance if you are unsure about coverage for counselling services
If you are unable to attend a session, please provide a minimum of 24-hours notice. If 24-hours notice is not received, you may be charged for the full rate of the session.
If you are interested in hosting a workshop or seminar on a topic related to trauma or mental health, I would be happy to customize an education session to suit your organizational needs. Please contact me for further information and pricing.
Some common topics include:
Installing Trauma-Informed Care in the Helping Profession
Preventing and Managing Vicarious Trauma in the Workplace
